Overview:
 
This position is responsible for assisting with the administration of human resources compliance initiatives throughout the company. The incumbent also handles and provides support for various HR functions within the organization including Family Medical Leave (FMLA) requests, random drug testing program, background checks, and records management/data entry.

Responsibilities:

  • Works to support business objectives by providing support and guidance to ensure compliance with all human resource policies and procedures.
  • Reviews and processes FMLA requests and verifies medical releases for return to duty. 
  • Assist with the development and administration of the employee relations program, random drug testing program, affirmative action program and associate advocacy.
  • Participates in quality assurance activities.
  • Maintains an attitude and philosophy consistent with the company's standards.
  • Provides risk management support in addressing interpersonal and performance concerns, as well as the creation, interpretation, and application of human resource policies and procedures.
  • Assists with and presents training related to managing harassment and discrimination, conflict resolution, and performance evaluation and improvement standards.
  • May assist with investigations of allegations of violations of policies and represent the company accordingly.
  • Participates in the development of the Vista ERP (enterprise resource planning) Human Resources module including verification of data integrity, report design, security management, and identifying opportunities for improved efficiency.

Preferred Qualifications: 
Bachelor’s degree and/or two (2) years of experience in professional Human Resources or job-related job field. 

PHR, SHRM-CP or other job-related certification is a plus.  

Other Information:

  • Anticipated overnight travel is approximately one to two nights four times a year.
