SUMMARY:
Constructors, LLC, a privately held company, is an industrial electrical, instrumentation and controls company offering engineering, construction and maintenance services. Founded in 1989 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, we have grown to employ over 3,300 people primarily in the southern region of the United States. Throughout Baton Rouge, Beaumont, Houston, and Lake Charles, we service the chemical processing, petrochemical, refining, power and pulp, and paper industries.
The selected candidate must be able to perform process engineering duties as necessary to ensure completion of projects on schedule. Must be able to independently perform assignments for front end conceptual design, detailed design, and technical support as required.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop typical engineering deliverables and process engineering deliverables
- Perform heat and mass balance calculations, develop block flow diagrams, PFD’s, and P&ID’s
- Prepare technical specifications for review and approval.
- Utilize software tools to model process simulations and hydraulic analysis
- Participate in project HAZOP teams and other risk assessment efforts associated with industrial facilities
- Work with project engineers and designers to ensure engineering standards are applied correctly
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering
- 1-4 Years of process engineering experience
- Diverse process background desired
- Experience in using Aspen Plus, HYSYS, or Pro II simulation software suites
- Knowledgeable of ASME and API codes for piping systems, vessels, tanks, and equipment
