SUMMARY
ISC Constructors, LLC, a privately held company, is an industrial electrical, instrumentation and controls company offering engineering, construction and maintenance services. Founded in 1989 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, we have grown to employ over 3,300 people primarily in the southern region of the United States.
Through our offices in Baton Rouge, Beaumont, Houston, and Lake Charles, we service the chemical processing, petrochemical, refining, power and pulp, and paper industries.
This position achieves corporate staffing objectives by recruiting and evaluating job candidates to hire experienced, skilled craft personnel. The primary focus will be on recruiting top talent with industrial electrical and instrumentation experience.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Process and manage open position requests for four (4) regional offices
- Manage company online applicant tracking system, company referrals, and telephone inquiries
- Analyze prior employment information on prospective candidates to determine applicant qualifications and suitability for employment
- Schedule and conduct candidate interviews
- Schedule related craft test with Training Department
- Serve as point-of-contact for candidates throughout the recruiting process
- Develop and place recruitment advertisements and job postings to solicit candidates including social media, industry related sites, contracted research search sites, cold calling, networking, job fairs, high school outreach, industry functions, etc.
- Communicate the company’s philosophy concerning workforce development and career path within the company
- Research and monitor craft wage information for bidding and planning purposes
- Maintain continuous pipeline of pre-screened, qualified candidates for desired positions
- Provide recruiting analysis reports for managers
- Improve organization attractiveness by recommending new policies and practices
- Represent the company at associations, job fairs, and other networking events to build relationships, promote the company, and develop an understanding of the regional employment market
- Present company information in front of large and small groups
- Analyze information provided on employment applications, conduct in-person interviews, and determine suitability for employment
- Ensure adherence to all equal employment opportunity (EEO) legislation, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and other government compliance requirements by using proper interviewing and hiring processes
- Monitor and remain current with regard to industry trends and best practices in all aspects of craft recruiting; recommend new or improved practices
QUALIFICATIONS:
- The ideal candidate will have at least five (5) years of experience assisting with or recruiting craft professionals in the industrial petrochemical construction market
- BS/BA degree and/or a combination of work experience and education
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with extreme multitasking
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in all areas
- Utmost attention to detail
- Strong sense of urgency and motivated by delivering results
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Resilience under pressure
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills with the ability to present company information in a group setting
- General understanding of industrial E&I construction is a plus
- Must be able to work independently with a high degree of customer service
- Ability to work with a diverse workforce
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- Must be able to obtain Security Background Clearance
- Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
- Preferred bi-lingual language in Spanish & English
